I had the pleasure of exploring this charming city and discovering its art, nature, and local experiences during my weekend trip.
The adventure began at 4 am when we arrived in Baguio City. The city was still wrapped in a peaceful slumber, yet I could feel the promise of adventure lingering in the crisp morning air.

Upon our arrival at 5 am, we checked into our room at MegaTower 2 Residences. We had booked the accommodation via Airbnb for 5 pax for 2 nights, costing us 5,705 PHP.

Northern Blossom Flower Farm – Atok Benguet
With the morning sun casting its golden light upon the city, we set out to explore one of Baguio’s hidden gems – the Northern Blossom Flower Farm in Atok.
At 8 am, we set off on a scenic drive through winding mountain roads, each curve revealing breathtaking views of terraced fields and lush valleys.
We spent hours strolling through the fields, admiring the exquisite flowers. From the bright and cheerful sunflowers to the graceful and elegant roses, each bloom had its unique tale, a symbol of life’s beauty in full bloom.

It was time to leave the flower farm and head back to Baguio City as the clock struck 1 pm.
The journey back was filled with memories of our morning’s adventure, the beauty of Atok etched into my mind like a painting on canvas.

Our afternoon started with a late lunch at the Ili-Likha Artist Village, a hidden gem tucked away from the bustling streets.
As we stepped into this artistic haven, I was immediately enchanted by its bohemian ambiance.

The village is a lively community filled with imaginative sculptures, vibrant murals, and rustic buildings constructed from upcycled materials.
We settled down at one of the cozy cafes and indulged in a sumptuous meal, savoring the flavors of traditional Filipino cuisine served with a creative twist.

Energized by the culinary delights of Ili-Likha Artist Village, we headed to Burnham Park for an afternoon of relaxation.
Located in the heart of Baguio City, Burnham Park is a 30-hectare oasis that offers a variety of recreational activities for visitors to enjoy.

We walked through the serene paths, admiring the picturesque scenery of well-groomed gardens, glittering ponds, and colorful flower beds.


The highlight of our visit was renting a rowboat and gliding across the serene waters of Burnham Lake.
SM Baguio: More Than Just a Mall

SM Baguio is a modern establishment that stands out in the city’s natural beauty.
The mall blends in with the environment, providing a stunning shopping experience.
Shopping at SM Baguio is a wonderful experience. The mall contains a vast selection of stores, ranging from high-end boutiques to local handicraft shops that cater to the tastes of all shoppers.
SM Baguio offers a wide variety of souvenirs, fashion items, and delectable treats to satisfy your shopping needs.

My favorite spot was the one overlooking the city, especially at night.
Baguio Cathedral: A Spiritual Oasis

Just a short distance away from SM Baguio is the iconic Baguio Cathedral, also known as Our Lady of Atonement Cathedral.
This magnificent church stands as a symbol of faith and spirituality in the heart of the city.
As I approached the cathedral, I was struck by its neo-Gothic architecture, characterized by pointed arches, stained glass windows, and intricate details.
The cathedral’s rose-colored walls and twin spires exude grandeur.
Baguio Night Market: A Shopper’s Paradise

As the sun set, we explored Baguio Night Market, filled with the aroma of sizzling street food and the lively chatter of vendors and tourists.
The night market is a vibrant and diverse hub of culinary delights, featuring everything from grilled skewers to steaming bowls of noodles.
We went on a culinary adventure, trying various dishes such as pares, sisig meals, grilled meats, binatog, and strawberry taho. We even tasted the popular 1-day old chick!
While exploring the busy market, we also searched for vintage clothing and handmade crafts, hoping to find unique treasures to take home.
Session Road: The Heartbeat of Baguio

Our evening culminated with a visit to Session Road, which is the lively main street that serves as the hub of the city’s commercial and social life.
Lined with shops, restaurants, and cafes, Session Road bustles with the energy of the locals.
I immersed myself in the bustling atmosphere, taking in the vibrant sights and sounds of the city.
Session Road provided a glimpse of Baguio’s diverse cultural heritage, featuring live music performances and impromptu street art displays.

As I concluded the night, I took a moment to reflect on the numerous experiences that had enriched my journey.
From the artistic haven of the Ili-Likha Artist Village to the serene beauty of Burnham Park, the delectable food at the Night Market, and the lively atmosphere of Session Road; it was truly an unforgettable afternoon tour through Baguio.
